Where exactly was the series filmed?
This I asked myself and then collected after some search
the following information. These are also very
interesting and helpful if a fan wants to follow the
traces of Catweazle when going on holiday.
Here I have listed only the most important locations for
otherwise it would be beyond the scope of this website.
But who wants to go more into detail then I recommend to
contact the official Catweazle Fan Club. There you can
get a very nice CD-Rom (Word file) "Catweazle Locations Series One"
which contains really all locations of the 1st series.
There is also a DVD available with a detailed
documentary about the locations of the 1st series.

stars of the series and visit some locations.
The current owners of the farm host the village fete,
and Catweazle fans are welcome to attend the fete

other times.

The water tower "Castle Saburac" was build
especially for the series, in a small wood near
the Home Farm. But it was not used for filming
inside. For all the scenes on the tower was build an
extra water tank on the ground. The scenes inside
the water tower were shot in the film studios.
After the filming of the series Castle Saburac was
pulled down and does not stand anymore. Which many
fans find is a pity.
Also the small wood has changed during the years and
from the big tree in the left picture there is only
a stump remaining.
(Detailed directions to the small wood can be found
on the locations CD-Rom.)
